Vegan Coleslaw

I went vegan earlier this year full-time, as in I was only a part-time vegan before. After doing much research, learning about how our bodies work, how food digests and my deep connection to animals and to the planet. It was the best choice to make for everyone's well-being. What you do for yourself, you do for another. We are all ONE.

In this video I share a recipe for vegan coleslaw. Its yummy, crispy, light, healthy (not just sorta healthy) and no animals were harmed in the process which is amazing!

1 head green cabbage
1 head purple cabbage
1 yellow bell pepper
1.5 cup shredded carrots
1 cup pea shoots (optional)
1/2 red onion
1 JalapeƱo

3 1/2 Tbs. Tahini
1 1/2 Tbs. dijion mustard
3 Tsp. maple syrup
3 Tsp. apple cider vinegar
4 Tbs. water

If you try this recipe out leave a comment below.
Have a beautiful long weekend!

Shape your World

Ever since I truly understood the meaning of the word Love - it's a synonym for God, Universe, Source, High Power, etc. I have been seeing it EVERYWHERE!

Not a day will go buy where I don't see a heart shape somewhere. Be it on the sidewalk, in nature, in a store or even in an icky chewed up gum! It's incredible what you see when you expand your perception! Challenge yourself to see Love everywhere, and I guarantee you things will start popping up everywhere that are shaped like a heart.

See the pictures below that I took! I even found a heart-shaped rock. I keep that by my bed side table as a gentle reminder of Love's presence everywhere even with me when I about to sleep. The picture of the heart on top my head was a complete 'coincidence'. I put my hair up and looked in the mirror and saw that it looked like a heart!  I laughed and said a prayer of thank you - because the Universe works in miraculous ways!

Currently I am

I haven't touched or even opened this blog since my last post in June. Over the course of this year, my interests have drastically changed and so has how I choose to express myself. My intention when I started this blog was to never become a fashion blogger. I started this blog because I love dressing, I love wearing clothes that represent who I am, I love being creative and I love love love to document my life. I've been documenting my life since I was kid, so it felt natural to continue to do as an adult.

However, I began neglecting shifting my focus from this blog to my new website, which is very near and dear to me. I love to write, I love to make people think differently and I love learning new ways I can live a hearted-centered fulfilling life. And this is exactly what I talk about on my website: elevating consciousness and being the light. So if you dig that kind of stuff then go have a peek.

So that left me not knowing what I wanted to do with this blog or what I wanted to put on it. Fashion doesn't interest me as much as it used to before, nor does caking on a bunch of make-up. My life has simplified and I have shed a lot of things. I feel lighter, free, centered and more comfortable in my skin than I have ever before (all while wearing no make-up and really comfy clothes).

However, I still LOVE documenting my life and taking pictures. So for now this blog will remain an online journal through which I share things I am doing, wearing, eating, seeing, learning, etc. All things that make up my story and capturing that story with words and pictures. Hope you'll stay around, connect and engage with me! For now let's talk about what I am currently:

Making: Calligraphy inspired handwritten notes, which I want to sell at some point. So stay tuned.

Cooking: Nothing right now, I 'cooked' some Earl Gray Green Tea earlier though. I love the smell of Earl Gray Tea if they sold it as a perfume or spray I'd totally want it!

Reading: A Course in Miracles Workbook + Spiritual Liberation + The Law of Divine Compensation

Wanting: Coaching clients and heart-centered conversations with people.

Missing: The nostalgia of going back to school. I've been really missing my college days.

Drinking: Earl Gray Green Tea that I got in Boulder, CO.

Looking: At this quote which I saw this morning:

Playing: With my hair, a habit that has stayed with me since childhood.

Giggling: Reminds me of children playing at the playground.

Wishing: Serenity and Travel.

Enjoying: My company, embracing my time I spend with myself. Something that has a lot more meaning and value to me.

Waiting: To go on my walk along the Lake.

Liking: The sun speaking through my windows as it sets. Its creating a warm glowing hallow in my apartment.

Wondering: If I should post my depression video (I probably will).

Loving: These summer days filled with sunshine and warm breezes.

Creating: A new project inspired by the I Believe Manifesto.

Marveling: At the miracle of life. I am amazed daily how beautiful this existence is even when the days are painful and anxious. I have gratitude for everything.

Needing: A hug.

Smelling: A white tea candle.

Wearing: Comfy shorts + WVU shirt.

Following: A Course in Miracles Workbook. I am on day six.

Thinking: Thank you.

Knowing: Every moment has a new beginning.

Noticing: How my fingers move along the keyboard as I type this.

Hoping: For some changes to happen that I've been wanting for. Patience.

Feeling: Calm, free and peace.
